Ms. Horne serves as the Director of Patient Care Services, Education at Vidant Duplin Hospital.
She oversees and coordinates the assessment of educational needs, the planning of programs to meet those needs, the implementation of those programs, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of offerings for hospital employees, students, volunteers and diverse community members.
Ms. Horne holds a B.S. and a M.S. in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill and is a member of Beta Nu Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society of Nursing. She was is a 2005 recipient of the UNC Healthcare Nurse of the Year Award: Medicine Service.
