Reviewing Finland's Successful Education System

I recently took part in a trip to Finland to learn more about their successful educational system, and I have written a short white paper summarizing what I saw. I hope that by sharing it—adding to a growing body of work on this subject—I can help spur action in our state. It was a privilege and an honor for me to join such a distinguished group of North Carolina leaders, and I am encouraged by the momentum we achieved while in Finland and since our delegation returned to America. However, we cannot rest here: rather, let us focus on how to apply what we saw there in order to improve education for ALL students in our great state.

Please, feel free to pass this document along to anyone who might be interested in the national challenge of keeping American education competitive on the world stage.
