About Amy Bradley
My name is Ursela Jones and I am the Automation & Robotics teacher at Neal STEM Academy of Engineering and Design in Durham, NC. I also serve as the school Magnet Coordinator and STEM Scholars coordinator. This is my ninth year working in education! I am a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University with a BS in Business Education: Information Technology and a M.A.T. in Business Education. I have been married for 5 years and have a 2 year-old son, whom I absolutely adore. Recently, I have been selected as a semi-finalist for DPS Teacher of Year! It has been a humbling and unique experience! Neal is a STEM school with a focus on project-based learning. I have implemented a Shark Tank PBL into my classroom. This project provides students with opportunities to develop a business plan, build and program a product and then present their idea to a panel of Angel Investors. I look forward to learning how to incorporate 3D/2D design and nanotechnology into my curriculum. I think my students could really benefit designing their creations using 3D/2D CAD software. We have two 3D printers at my school. Can you imagine the possibilities? I absolutely love learning new things and new experiences! I look forward to meeting you all in the upcoming months!
