I am hoping that my Kenan Fellowship with NCDPI will provide a tremendous amount of knowledge and strategies to help my colleagues navigate through Home Base. My first steps in understanding the system began last week as my Home Base team met and took a crash course in understanding the various elements of Home Base. Laverne and Carmella were wonderful leaders, and the team from NCSU (Phyllis, Renee and Lessie) were terrific. Everyone was helpful, positive and inspiring as I realized the work that has gone into this tool. I hope that the resources I tag this summer will enrich Home Base and make it a place where teachers will find many answers to their questions and support for their teaching needs.
