Welcome 2013-14 Kenan Fellows.  I know you frantically wrapping up the school year and looking forward to the summer.  A summer of new friends, new ideas and unexpected outcomes.  I look forward to spending time with all of you at NCCAT.  This is one of my favorite weeks of the year.  I’ve been to NCCAT once as a Fellow and this will be the third time as a Kenan Fellows Program representative.  It’s nearly impossible to describe what the week means to me.  Our staff arrives, much like our Fellows, anxious about what will happen during the week.  We have a huge amount of material to cover, we want to get to know each of you and we definitely want you to get to know each other.  By Friday, I’m sleep deprived, elated and honored to know each of you.  This year, Craig and Amneris will join us for the week.  Like you, they have not had this experience before, but I know they will also leave Cullowhee a changed person.
