Our Western Harnett 6th graders are visiting the Cape Fear Botanical Gardens in the Spring! My students will attend on a separate date where Sherry Carpenter (Mentor) and I will team-teach and share responsibilities in providing them with educational guided tours. The students will have the opportunity to see how math and science are applied at the Botanical Gardens (real world). On April 21st I will begin implementing my “Geometric Garden” curriculum. My students and I are extremely excited!
