Customers visit day
Met the customer of the oven tester who wanted a few changes made to the box that holds all the electrical information, I think it is called a panel. He was trying to describe where in his place of business it would fit and the specifications (specs) of the outlet box.
Met with Matt, a computer programmer that also works with Cody and Blair. He is an electrical engineer that works with larger switches versus an electronic engineer who works with small switches. He works with more robotics versus computers. This one machine will run up to 50 tests on an oven to make sure it is safe. These tests it runs are specified from the company and installed by Matt through software and the HDMI and PC…whatever that means. There are several boxes in this machine: 1st thing is the Ground Bond which has a set amperes and then the other is a high pot (potential=voltage) box. These boxes are to prevent anyone from getting hurt, or as Matt says “don’t want to get bit!”
Met with Andy for a short minute, they were very busy today. Andy works part-time for Mertek Solutions writing user manuals, his official title is technical writer. Today reminded me of the show Property Brothers, mainly because of the customers wants and design changes that have to be made after the product is started.
Today was the monthly birthday celebration. Melody gets cake and ice cream and calls everyone over the loud speaker to celebrate the monthly birthdays. Some come and visit, some don’t.
Cody and Blair’s car part machine customer had a delay and will not be here till Monday. This machine is similar to a build before so it has been completed about 2-3 weeks ahead of schedule which Cody said is nice, it makes money for the company and helps him and Blair look good. He described the difference in anodized, oxidized and hardened steel to me. Anodized has a black finish on Steel, but a brushed finished on Aluminum. Cody also showed us some youtube videos about how Lego had built some amazing machines!
