WHEW! A week ago this first blog would have been several pages long.
First the Lenovo tablet was a PAIN!! It should have come with instructions! After many you-tube videos and help with Randy about getting the time/date and language correct, I finally could log in to my Microsoft account and started adding apps. The session at NCCAT was helpful, but the guy just took questions and answered on spot. I would have liked to learn more about how to use the camera, apps that came on it, video, etc. Its like the more you use it the better it is, but I like to have my trusty laptop as a backup. I have “heavy” hands so the tablet keyboard is too flimsy, and I do not like the angle of the screen-but see myself using it for more stuff once school starts.
Learning where all the avenues of technology where assignments were posted was a challenge, but not too bad. I have used and taught about how to use edmodo, so advantage for me there 🙂
I would have liked a session on Blogging-I have never blogged before and am learning this technology as we speak. I want to set aside time to use the google app sites to get my website up and running again-so many teachers used my stuff, I miss that interaction. Time-Technology takes time, which is ironic-bc isnt it meant to save time :/
I was in techno-app overload at NCCAT. I am still recovering from that, in fact I think this will be an ever adding to it  blog entry.
Today 7/2/14, first thing is the pdf travel reimbursement form, REALLY form just let me save and return…and what is up with not letting me sign you-AHHHHHH!!!
7/7/14, trying to use tablet….already got frustrated! I stacked books to make it eye level so I did not become the hunchback of kenan. Tried looking at email and ugh-it is not showing up!
7/10/14, after looking through other people’s blogs I’ve decided I want to be Liz at the end of my Kenan Fellows adventure! I have been editing gopro video Blair took of Cody building a panel. However, my computer decided to be full this morning, so I am doing some disk cleanup :/ GREAT! I just lost all of my files from yesterday’s videoing…ugh…thank goodness Blair had them backed up. I should have enough space on computer for files….wondering if when speed up video files if it saves memory or not….Jerry wants video to fit on 8GB flashdrives he bought for sales-but…..im not sure how all that GB MB stuff works….learning to appreciate film editors as well as manufacturers…
