Yes, I say that to my children and my students. You don’t know if you like it until you try it. Today, I did something new. During our PD at NCCAT the fellows went white water rafting. I was a bit apprehensive at first. But boy, was it fun! The water was crystal clear, freezing cold, and just the right amount of excitement. I am ready to grab my PFD and my family and go again!

My fellowship is going to be a new experience, too. Yes, I was in the business world ages ago and it is wonderful to get back to thinking like that again. I am excited to learn from my mentor about innovation and failure for products. I am ready to experience all the new opportunities this summer.

I am going to teach at a new school too. I am headed to Washington GT Elementary School. A new school, but a familiar grade. I get to be in third grade again.

New experiences, new teammates, new schools, new friends. Now is the time to try something new.
