The highlight of my week was just being with my cohort and the Kenan alumni. It is amazing to spend time with “like-minded” people who truly love to learn and love to make education better for NC students.
I will implement Twitter in my class this year. I feel like I can use this tool in way to reach my students and their families.
My least favorite session was the Culture session. I have worked in schools where culture training was mandated due to the population and I feel like that was a tough session for me to go through again. However, the presenter made it interesting due to her enthusiasm and her resources.
I love to learn NEW things. This experience FAR exceeded my expectations for PD. As a veteran teacher, I am often let down by PD because I have been to so many trainings over the years, but this experience was AMAZING.
I really enjoyed Vance and Allison’s sessions. I hope to “steal” their amazing ideas and use them in my class to improve my practice.
