Mentor Benefits

I truly blessed to have so many mentors for my fellowship. Sometimes I wonder if my mentors get anything out of me following them around and asking a million questions. I do love to learn, and so I see that I am truly getting the benefits of hanging around some of the most brilliant people in their respective fields. But what do they get? I think that they truly want to be able to extend their reach to students at the elementary and secondary level. And I am that way of reaching them. I hope that the lessons that create do their work justice. I hope that my students are more engaged in learning about Coastal Agriculture and STEM-related careers in Coastal NC. I hope that I make my mentors proud; they have already done so much to go out of their way to teach me so much, and I hope I can pay it forward.
