Changed….

My fellowship has changed me because I know more about the local community and jobs available in my local area. I have lived in Wilmington most of my life and I can honestly say I did not know about all the amazing research that is happening at UNCW and along our coast. I did know that UNCW was there of course, but I often thought that the professors would think of me as a “bother”. The truth is the college professors could not be more willing to help teachers in the middle and high schools learn more about content and their research. I am now not afraid to ask for help about how to find out more about local STEM jobs.
