I have been teaching 8th grade Science for 10 years. My fellowship is called “Surf and Turf: Finfish, Oysters and Horticulture Research”. My fellowship is based in Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach, NC (New Hanover County). I grew up in this area, and I love to showcase all of the amazing things about this area, as well as learn new things!
My mentors are Dr. Wade Watanabe, Dr. Ami Wilbur, Dr. Lisa Buchanan all of UNCW, John Garder of the Castle Hayne Research Station of NCSU, Melissa Hight of New Hanover County Farm Bureau , and Michele Reedy of NC Farm Bureau…. so I really hit the jackpot as far as fellowships!!!
