I’ve been teaching 5th Grade at Creekside Elementary in Durham, NC for the past two years. A friend of mine recommended that I apply for the Kenan Fellows Program because it helped him develop in his profession both as an educator and as a leader in his school. After looking into the program and the fellowships that I could choose from, I knew I had to apply. I knew that becoming a Kenan Fellow would help me in my development in becoming the best educator that my students could possibly have.
I have a few goals for the summer.
- I get to learn about and master all of the new programs that Google for Education has to offer, then take them back into my classroom as well as share this knowledge with new teachers.
- I get to learn about all of the ins-and-outs of Google Fiber and can create amazing lessons and incorporate the business and engineering portions into cool Project-Based Learning activities.
- Well, I’m not really allowed to talk about my major project just yet. 🙂
You know what that means…Stay tuned for more information, as I’ll slowly be rolling out a little information at a time…
Peace. Be G.O.O.D
I want to know everything about Google Education in the classroom. Teach me master. It seems so exciting to work at Google Fiber. I want to do an internship there for the summer.
