This summer I learned that teachers arrive in the classroom via many different paths and with many different personalities and abilities. This changed my outlook as an educator by causing me to focus on ways I might use my leadership position in our school to help other teachers improve their craft. This will open up many new possibilities for demonstrating leadership among my colleagues and for modeling leadership skills to others. Seeing this opportunity, I plan to grasp it with both hands. Hopefully I can help a colleague in distress or inspire others to use their experience to help other teachers. This realization affirmed my belief that we are all life-long learners in constant and perpetual need of a fine tuning.
