My internship was at BRITE at NCCU.  I worked with different scientists and their assistants to do plant research.  The most interesting thing to me was learning how the tobacco plants are used for different research purposes.  The biggest challenge was finding time to attend the labs.  Because of covid I was not allowed in the labs as much as I would have liked.  My biggest take away is that a career in the life sciences is available for all students.  My knowledge has increased about these career opportunites.
