Journal of Interdisciplinary Teacher Leadership
Call for Papers: Special Topic on Professional Learning Communities in Education
Submission Deadline: Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023
Anticipated Publication: December 2023/January 2024
Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) offer educators valuable opportunities to collaborate, share best practices, and cultivate innovative approaches to improve learning. Prior research has examined the dynamics of PLCs and whether they contribute to school improvement.
Open to Practitioners and Researchers
We are excited to announce a special issue on PLCs in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Teacher Leadership (JoITL), a publication of the Kenan Fellows Program for Teacher Leadership at N.C. State University. The special topic is aimed at K-12 teachers, researchers, and nontraditional educators who have an interest in examining the impacts of PLCs.
In addition to literature reviews, case studies, and research papers, we invite practitioners to submit articles and essays that may not be grounded in formal research but still promote the progression of valuable discussions within the field.
Potential topics include but are not limited to:
- STEM Education
- Teacher Leadership
- Career and Technical Education
- Interdisciplinary Perspectives
