About the Author

» Jeff Milbourne grew up in Durham, North Carolina. He received a B.S. in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003 and an M.A.T. in Secondary Science Education from UNC in 2004. After receiving his Master’s, Jeff took a job teaching Physical Science, Chemistry, and Physics at Croatan High School in Eastern NC. In 2007, Jeff returned to Durham and began teaching Physics at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, his alma mater. He recently received his National Board Certification in Physics. As a teacher, Jeff’s philosophy centers on challenging students to think deeply about complex issues, ask intelligent questions, and create their own knowledge through experiential learning.
