Karina Colón is a National Board Certified Teacher who has been teaching elementary school for ten years. Karina graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Since then, she has taught second through fifth grades. Currently, she is teaching fourth grade at Smith International Baccalaureate Magnet Elementary in Wake County, NC and working towards a Master's degree in curriculum, instruction, and supervision at NC State University. In addition to teaching and learning, Karina also works with National Board Candidates through the Center for Teaching and Learning at the North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) and serves as the secretary for NCAE's National Board Caucus.
