I just finished my sixth year at Northwood High School in Chatham County as an English teacher and my second year at Central Carolina Community College as a Basic Skills and ESL instructor. I also just finished a challenging first year as the newly-minted coach for NHS Quiz Bowl; ironically, I hate Jeopardy.

In my spare time, I am involved in pursuits that allow me to think about something other than teaching for once: my country/Americana band, swimming, and yoga. On semesters when I have a spare second I play with the Chapel Hill Philharmonia.
