What an excellent opportunity to work with researchers at NCSU, UNC Chapel Hill and with 4H program.  My Kenan fellowship is “Egg” static about Salmonella Research. I will be working with 8 Kenan fellows who are from K through 12. This is a two year Fellowship where during first year, we will be working with our mentors Dr Koci, Dr. Hassan and Dr. Peril  to get the lab experience and knowledge about food safety, bacteriology and immunology. During the second year, We will be working with 4-H Youth and Volunteer Development Department at NC state University to create a curriculum for K-12 classrooms which is vertically aligned and includes our lab experience.
