Duplin County……What opportunities do we have to offer?  My journey will begin at Murphy Brown, “Pork Beyond the Fork”!  Pigs, hogs and math, oh my!!!

For my externship, I have two main expectations:
1.  To be an advocate for the companies in Duplin County, by learning about the many job opportunities Murphy Brown has to offer and then share my finding and the educational requirements with my students.

2.  To learn the many ways that Murphy Brown employees use math everyday.  I will then,  incorporate this math into the lessons in my courses.   Therefore, the students will see the value in learning math and its importance in real-life.

and the journey begins………
