I am truly enjoying my week at NCCAT. I have always been told that NCCAT was wonderful. Everyone has been so supportive and encouraging and it is truly awesome to be surrounded by so many like-minded top notch teacher leaders. I enjoyed the team building (ice breaker) activities on Monday. I would like to note that the “Student’s Discovery Team” is awesome and we set a record in the marble activity. I also enjoyed the variety of professional development we received on Tuesday. I would like to use google docs and remind.com in my classroom this fall. Also, I would like to give a “shout out” to all of the Fellows who presented on Tuesday night. I learned so much from the Implementation Strategies sessions and enjoyed white water rafting on Wednesday. I definitely want to go white water rafting again and our guide Kelsey was awesome. I was a little nervous about trying this. It was awesome. I feel so privileged to be a Kenan Fellow and am loving every minute of it. I am a little nervous and overwhelmed as well. I am a bit of a perfectionist and want to do my best in whatever I do. I am trying to relax and enjoy this experience. I am happy that I will be at Mills Park with Laura, who is also on the same project.
