Technology Challenges Post

Hello Everyone,

This blog is concerning my technology challenges. Prior to receiving this tablet,  considered myself quite adept at using technology.  However,  I realize that I have so much to learn.  It took me an hour to figure out  how to turn my new tablet off and even longer to navigate through some of the many features associated with it.  In addition, this entire blogging experience is completely foreign to me.  I have never blogged before and consider myself a private person.  I am excited about all of the new and exciting things that this opportunity affords me.

In my classroom, I have a Smart Board, document camera, desktop computers, and IPADs. With all of this technology, one would assume that I could handle navigating through operating my tablet. This tablet has so  many cool features that it will take a little time to learn all of them.  I am up for the challenge!

On June 5, 2014, Laura Cochrane and I went to The Museum of Natural Sciences to participate in a mini soil microbiology project with Dr. Stevens, Dr. Urban, and Dr. Horvath.  We analyzed soil that we brought in from home using culturing methods. We will be able to track our results via twitter and find out what was in our soil. This is another technology challenge. I am not a Twitter user. I do not even have a Facebook account. I know that this may seem shocking. I still think that it is pretty awesome that we can track the components and DNA of our soil samples via twitter.  How cool is that!
