What do I hope to gain from this Kenan fellowship?

I am looking forward to the many different and unique opportunities that will be available to me throughout this program. I am excited to learn about the new and interesting STEM field of nanotechnology. I am  eager to collaborate with my colleagues and mentor on this project, as well as other projects throughout our state. I am intent on establishing and developing networking opportunities that arise from being a Kenan Fellow. I am also anxious to present our work to educators and other interested parties at a state/national conference, such as the Bridging the Gap STEM Education conference.

Kenan Fellows have a great platform to share their knowledge and work with their colleagues throughout their school, community and state. I will definitely use this platform to promote STEM education, and the importance of continual professional education opportunities for educators.
