Randy Pinion is the Activities Coordinator for the Kenan Fellows program. In this role, he organizes and manages a variety of annual and one-off events for the program, including its Professional Development Institutes at NCCAT and in Raleigh, the end-of-Fellowship “Celebration,” and the interviews for new Fellows each Spring. He also assists with many other elements of the Program, from web design and technical support to copyediting and procedure management.

Prior to the KFP, Randy worked with Elavon, Inc. as a Supervisor on the Software Technical Support Team and spent several summers as a Counselor at the Western Kentucky University Center for Gifted Studies’ summer programs, VAMPY and SCATS. He received his B.S. in Print Journalism from Boston University in 2009 and hails from Sevierville, TN, gateway to the Smoky Mountains.

Randy is more than a little bit of a geek and loves technology, the web, music, and plenty of delightfully nerdy things. He also happens to love meeting and talking to Kenan Fellows, so always feel free to send him an email or Google Hangout/Chat @ rppinion@ncsu.edu!
