One new tool that I have been using this year has been Zip Grade. Zip Grade is an app for your phone or tablet that allows you to scan an answer sheet. Zip Grade will then grade the assessment and upload the data to the Zip Grade website where you can easily analyze the data. I have been using Zip Grade on my daily homework checks. It allows me to grade them fast and analyze were students are struggling. Not only can I see how the kids are doing, but it also helps me to keep them honest about doing their homework. Overall, it has taken the burden off from me from grading homework nightly, and it has kept the kids motivated to do their homework so they can hopefully get an easy homework grade.
