For my Personal Remote Learning (PRL) plan, I attended the AP Calculus BC week-long training at Meredith College this summer. This was a fantastic professional development opportunity that helped me to prepare to teach AP Calculus BC this spring. I was provided with bountiful time to network with other AP teachers and to practice AP Calculus problems. It gave me the confidence and tools that I needed to prepare for this upcoming semester.
The PRL plan has been a great experience because it has allowed me to be the driver of my professional development. Often times, we are told which training we need to go to and do not get a say or choice in the manner. It gave me learner agency in terms of my professional development plan. As a result, I got more out of the training!
