The summer institute was powerful. It was four days of intense thought, sharing, and activity, and I went home with many ideas about implementing my voice as a teacher leader. The best part for me was having the opportunity to learn from a diverse and committed group of educators. The conversations we engaged in were centered around positively impacting our students and colleagues– in the course of these talks I learned specific tools to implement as a teacher in my classroom and as a teacher leader at my school. The collective knowledge and experience was a force that took its own direction, helping all of us grow as educators.
