I learned about Kenan in the summer of 2018 when I was at a professional development. I just happened to start talking to stranger about educational policy and during our hearty conversation she brought up that she was a Kenan Fellow. After explaining about what Kenan was and the project that she was working on, I knew that this was an opportunity that I had to pursue. I went home that night and researched all about the fellowship and the requirements for the program. I also started “bumping into” Kenan Fellows all over the place and it just spurred my motivation to become one myself.
