I can’t just choose a single “highlight” from my week at the KFP Summer Institute. Overall, moments that stick out most to me from the week are the times the faculty/fellows sat at dinner together. These were moments I was able to talk to other educators about their expertise in the classroom, their personal lives, and hear about their struggles that I relate to as well as a teacher. Sometimes you feel like you are the only one experiencing certain things as a teacher, so it was nice to be able to hear and share similar life experiences.
I absolutely plan on using GooseChase in my classroom! I have been looking for ways to make Science in our classroom more active and engaging for the students and this is the perfect resource!
This is the first PD I have truly been to and it has been amazing! I have loved the “family” feel of this institute and how welcoming everyone is. I’ve heard different pieces of information that I will take with me forever. I am so excited to see what I continue to learn as a Kenan Fellow!
