*Hopes*

My hopes for my internship with 100 Gardens is to expand my knowledge on the aquaponics system. This is a new concept to me and I am very interested to find out how the system works as a whole both on a large and small scale.

I also would like to grow my leadership skills through the help of the Kenan Fellows program. I feel as though I was chosen for this program because i have already displayed leadership qualities during my first year teaching. I would like to get more resources an idea to grow my leadership skills outside of the classroom as well.

It’s a Goosechase!

The highlight of my week was the scavenger hunt! At first, I was a bit skeptical on how things would play out. I am known to be a pretty competitive person, and was hoping that my team would be the same. We ended up clicking instantly and had a blast… oh and won 1st place! At the end of the scavenger hunt, my mind was in full speed on how to incorporate this on the first day of school for my students. I think it is an amazing team building activity, and a great way to build relationships without doing the stereotypical, sometimes nerve-wracking ice breakers.
