My fellowship is working with John Garner at Williamsdale Biofuels Field Laboratory.  They are working on projects from looking at the nutrient uptake of different species of grass to working with GMO poplar trees to determine lignin content in the different variations.  They are also working with Murphy Brown to look at using spray fields for the hog farms to grow grass for ethanol production.  The big push is to develop methods and specifications for the species of grass as farmers start to grow them.
