My fellowship is sponsored by Warren County Farm Bureau. The local Farm Bureau and Warren County Economic Development are serving as my mentors. Farm Bureau decided to sponsor a Kenan Fellow because they feel it is important to continue to educate today’s youth about how their food is produced. It is my goal as a Kenan Fellow to reconnect students to agriculture and how valuable it is to us all. Students need to be reminded of the many ways agriculture affects their daily lives and how important it is for them to be producers as well as consumers. My goal is to take my students “beyond the grocery store.”
