About My Fellowship

 The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is sponsoring my fellowship, called Let’s Measure Together. Dr. Tammy Howard, the Director of Accountability Services, will be my mentor. We will be working together to develop effective assessment items to prepare students for the Measures of Student Learning Common Exams. DPI already seeks input from teachers while developing the assessments. I will be working to create professional development for teachers to help them break down the North Carolina Essential Standards and create their own formative assessments using the constructed response model.
