My Kenan Fellowship is about Growing our Engineers. The picture above is of me and my mentors: Dr. Bill Fortne from NC State and Mark Meno from FRC East.

This is exciting for an English teacher working in a stem school, as I hope this fellowship will lead me to speaking my students’ language!

I am working on a unit in which students use the engineering design process to create an authentic presentation. The goal is for the unit to be specific to the engineering design process, but generic enough to be used in any upper level classroom and in any subject area.
