Social media on an district level comes down to legal policy. If a district’s legal council feels they can support potential problems from using social media such as cyber bullying, inappropriate language, etc. the district will allow it. If the legal council of a district is apprehensive of fighting those battles, they will not. In the case of the former liability falls on the teacher if something goes wrong. As internet law becomes more well defined, more districts will allow social media.
