I am an 8th grade science teacher at Sandy Grove Middle School in Lumber Bridge, NC. This school is brand new (opened in 2013-2014) and is one of the first net-positive-energy schools in the nation. This means that we produce more energy than our school is able to consume.

I am now a North Carolina Kenan Fellow participating in a Noyce Fellowship called Clean and Green, which is partnered with Sustainable Sandhills in Fayetteville, NC.
