As a 2015-1016 Kenan Fellow, I embark upon this experience with excitement for the unknown. When I heard about this opportunity in a faculty meeting, I was intrigued at the opportunity to continue my professional growth while improving the classroom content for my students. I later learned that I would also be able to share this with colleagues in my school, community and beyond, and even encouraged to do so. Throughout my career, I have chosen many actities that have led to my collaboration with others in this capacity, so I am ready for the growth curve. I realize that there will be challenges, perhaps even some frustration. But that is par for the course, so bring it. My mind is a sponge, and my anticipation is rising daily for the education that will ensue.
