What do I hope to gain from my Fellowship?

I was excited to set myself up for a new learning experience and hopefully set myself up as a leader in my school. My Underwood community is so invested in their children and our school as a whole. I wanted to bring more Underwood pride to our school by developing a new science experience. I also want to bring some of the enthusiasm for education back to our staff. I value the relationships I have with my colleagues, students and their families, but wondered if I could cast my net wider. I hope this fellowship will allow me to meet new teachers, who have a vision for the direction education should go. I want to build new relationships with other teachers in other schools and across the state. I want to collaborate and learn from others. The Kenan Fellow opportunity is an exciting time in my personal and educational journey to grow and share.
