No, the title of this post isn’t a mistake, it is my way of sharing the excitement from seeing the words on the door in the photo FROM THE INSIDE! For me, one of the most exciting parts of this internship has been the “All Access Pass” to go behind the scenes at one of my favorite places, the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. From sitting inside the fishbowl labs, to touring the depths of the collections, I have felt like a kid in a candy store. Getting to know the scientists and staff members has been amazing – the curiosity, desire to share, and depth of expertise from the team here at the museum is inspiring. While I have brought my students and my own children to this museum many times in the past, I can’t wait to bring them all back now that I am “part of the family” (as Liz Baird, Chief of School and Lifelong Learning put it)!

Yes! I totally agree. It was so rewarding to become “part of the family.” I feel so privileged to have met so many great people! And, I’m humbled to realize all that I still have to learn, but it is also so exciting!
