So far, I’ve been able to get a lot of great ideas for how my final product will be. Jacob and I have been brainstorming a number of things that I can easily relate to my students in a fun and engaging manner. Jacob also said that he would help me in any way possible, so I hope that will come to fruition.
When it comes to making a product that I can share with the rest of the world, I am having some ups and downs. Firstly, I want my product to be a unit plan. This means that it will require a lot of extra detailed work that will form a project for my students to participate in. It would require a lot of extra outside resources and rely on the time and scheduling of others to help implement it. However, if I have a good following and keep things organized I don’t think it will be a problem, honestly.
The great things about my product is that it is easily implemented in any type of “science or agriculture-based” field. It also has elements of ELA and you could use elements of math. I think because of the summer I am more procrastinating then anything (that is the real challenge), but once I get back on my schedule I should be good.
I’m having trouble writing out the unit plan in immense detail. I typically just write out things very generalized…but if I want this to be a resource for other teachers, I have to make it extensive. However, overall, I think once I get closer into the school year writing out the plans will not be difficult.
