Several ways… I can get guest speakers from Smithfield hog production to come into my classroom and speak to my students.  The vet is going to come and help the 7th grade teacher with her hog dissection. We are going to work on water quality from two main river basins to determine who pollutes water more human and factory waste or farm waste. Smithfield company farms have borders around them so that the neighbors or cars that pass by will not see the hog houses. I can get my students to discover what kind of trees or bushes grow the best and the fastest. Maybe some of my students that are contract farms will think about adding borders.
