After my internship, I have realized that there is a world out there I never knew. There are occupations that exist that I had never thought of based on my internship at Rexroth. One job sticks out to me particularly. It was the occupation of purchaser. I thought they might buy things that’s just one part of this job. I didn’t know that negotiating a difference of microns within a part would be an essential duty of a purchaser. I learned that there are positions in the plant assembly that involve measurements of microns. To know all of the jobs that make a part go from thought two creation to getting in the customer’s hands has helped me understand the world of the private sector. I am now going to take this knowledge and help kids get into something that fits their strengths because College isn’t for everyone.
