What this experience means

As cliche as it sounds, my experience as a Kenan Fellow has meant the world to me. The institutes were some of the best professional development I have ever experienced. I am sad that the next time we will all be in the same room together, our fellowships will be over. As a teacher, I have had the opportunity to pursue my national board certification, travel to various countries through social studies study tour programs, and work with amazing educators at my school. However, nothing tops the Kenan Fellows professional development experience.

I still have a lot to do for my fellowship (right Kari & Susan?), so this doesn’t quite feel like the end, but this blog question really made me realize that I need to be intentional with keeping in contact with my fellow fellows. I can’t wait to continue to collaborate with and learn from the teachers I have met.
