I am a 20 year teaching veteran with experience teaching middle school math and science, as well as high school science. I have a Bachelors Degree in Education from Central Michigan University with a focus on Biology and Psychology, a Masters degree in Science Education from Minnesota State University, and National Board Certification. Born and raised in Michigan, I have taught in Indiana, South Dakota and Minnesota, and I am currently teaching 8th grade math and science at East Cary S.T.E.M Middle School in Wake County, NC. I live in Apex, NC with my husband Chris and our children Christopher (13) and Alexandra (11). When not pursuing my passion for teaching, you can find me on the sidelines of a soccer field, a baseball diamond, or a hockey rink cheering my kids on and probably grading papers in-between the action!
