About Me

I have been teaching at Durham School of the Arts (DSA) since 2003 where I currently serve as Career & Technical Education (CTE) department chair.  While I was originally hired as a business education teacher, I have been heading up the Game Art & Design concentration since 2008. In that time, I have learned many useful applications and skills as well as made a number of contacts in the game industry.

Prior to working in education, I was employed by a small nonprofit research organization examining parapsychological phenomena where I was employed to conduct research as well as being their sole information technology specialist. I also served in the US Air Force where I repaired the electronic components on the F-16 jet fighter.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Franklin Pierce College (now University) in Rindge, NH and followed that up by earning a Master of Arts in Business Education from East Carolina University.
