Hello all!

I am currently a science teacher at Orange High School and have been so for the past four years.  Go panthers!

I teach chemistry, biology, AP biology and anatomy and physiology.  I’m looking forward to my fellowship with the Nevzorov laboratory at NCSU because their focus on membrane proteins has strong ties to the subjects I teach.  The methods they’re using – NMR – are applicable to my chemistry classes and of course the membrane proteins themselves are critical parts of biology and anatomy.  I’m especially interested in learning more about membrane proteins as possible drug targets and their importance to brain chemistry.

Here’s a picture of Dr. Nevzorov, some of the other lab members and I getting started with some NMR spectra!
