I had a hard deciding what to do for my product. I have learned so much… One thing for sure is that I am going to get guest speakers from Smithfield to come into not only my classroom but also my fellow teachers. After spending the day with an engineer and the land mangement group, I have decided to focus on water quality. I am going to have the students compare two river basins one that is mainly affected from farms and the other that is mainly affected by large cities (human waste). One of the activities will be for students to test the water to see if their data matches what is found on the internet. A big challenge will to be to get the water from the Neuse river.
