The Professional Advancement Institutes have been very rejuvenating to me as a professional. They allowed me the opportunity to collaborate with others throughout the state that I would never have had the ability to do so otherwise. I think that it was as valuable as the internship experience itself.
The first institute was the very best! Being able to work together in teams to learn new strategies and experiences was the best. Also, having the time to internalize the experience while being housed at NCCAT gave me the opportunity to focus on the tasks at hand. The other two institutes were beneficial in the fact that I learned so much about the political aspects related to education as well. These experiences are like no other that I have ever had before. Being able to learn so much from other teachers in a setting where I was respected and treated professionally in all aspects is something that I will never forget!!!
